WebI have the Mele fanless PC's as well. I think it's great IMO. I use it as a windows 11-based NAS with media server software, backup software, and chia-coin mining in the background. One downside is that I can't seem to find any published report on actual 24/7 power consumption of the entire thing. WebFor about 200 bucks (plus RAM and storage) you can get the Asus PN41 N6000 new. Runs everything, uses a 6W (!!!) CPU and is fanless. Best budget low power mini server on the market right now imo. WebBasically any laptop before the Pentium MMX era are completely fanless. For modern and mainstream fanless devices there are some of the lower specced Surface Pro and Go devices. My 1st gen Surface Laptop is fanless. They released multiple SKUs with fans but the lowest tier one with a Core M3-7Y30 CPU is unique in being fanless. WebEdit: 2 RS232 ports (one of them can be configured as a RS485), 2 ethernets, HDMI + DP, 8 USB (half of them 3.0), and whatever i3, i5 or i7 processor you want. It's compact, fanless, has 6x intel i211 LAN ports and has a pretty good CPU (much stronger compared to the 6100) but it lacks 10 Gbps and 2.5 Gbps ports.

But as others have said, HDDs will still make a noise even if you spin them down. There are NAS HDDs that might be quieter.
