It's pureErrorAnova. Basically it's a test to see the 'goodness' of the fit of the regression model. It breaks down the SSE into two components, the SSPE and the SSLF. The SSPE are true errors, and the SSLF are problems with the fit of the model. Thanks for the help.

WebAn in-depth discussion of Type I, II, and III sum of squares is beyond the scope of this book, but readers should at least be aware of them. They come into play in analysis of variance (anova) tables, when calculating sum of squares, F-values, and p-values. Perhaps most salient point for beginners is that SAS tends to use Type III by default ... WebApr 13, 2024 · One common parameter to evaluate the performance of linear regression is R Square (R²). But before explaining R², it is necessary to first explain two extra terms first, total sum of squares (SST), and regression sum of squares (SSR). SST, SSR, and SSE are all showing the variation with different measures. Webor the increase in the regression sum of squares: S S R ( x 1, x 2 x 3) = S S R ( x 1, x 2, x 3) − S S R ( x 3) S S R ( x 1, x 2 x 3) = 12.3009 − 11.68 = 0.621 Note that the …
